I'm not tired, and I don't feel like studying or doing anything else, really, so clearly that means it is SURVEY TIME.

1. What can you see that is blue besides your tumblr dashboard?
A stack of index cards on the coffee table and my Peter Pan glass. Not much else, really.

2. What have you eaten today?
Breakfast: cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee
Lunch: smoked gouda & romaine on a pretzel roll, carrots, Greek yogurt with strawberries, water
Dinner: Tarte d'Alcace, glass of cider

3. What is your favorite food?
My absolute favorite thing to eat is cereal with milk. I could exist on that quite happily for days at a stretch, and sometimes do when things get busy.

4. What is your favorite color?
My favorite colors are green and pink, and have been so since I was little. Lime green, particularly, has always been 'my' color.

5. What is your least favorite color?
Salmon. It's just gross. Nobody looks good in salmon.

6. Who was your last kiss with? Was it pleasant?
My last kiss was with Ben, a couple of weeks ago, and no, it was not, because he kissed me against my will despite the fact that I've had the 'I just want to be friends' talk with him about a million times. He attempted to kiss me several more times and grabbed my ass before I evicted him from my home. We no longer speak because the whole thing really freaked me out.

7. What color shoes did you last wear?
The last shoes I wore were Sperries with plaid trim. I throw those on with nearly everything.

8. What is your biggest vice?
This feels like a job interview. Hell, I don't know. There are several I could choose from.

9. Who has made you laugh the hardest in the last week?
Without recalling any specifics I'm going to say my sister, because 99% of the time that is the case.

10. What is your favorite scent?
Unsurprisingly, it's coffee.

11. What is your occupation? Do you enjoy it?
Currently I am the Writing Specialist for Lindenwood University's history department. It's difficult to say if I enjoy it because no history students have made appointments with me that have happened yet, so I sit in the writing center and handle walk-ins and do my own homework and look through the drawers in my sister's office for chocolate.

12. What is your favorite season? Why?
My favorite season is autumn for many, many reasons, but particularly how cozy and bright everything is.

13. Can you do a handstand or cartwheel?
Bahahaha, no. Unless I were literally in an open field, I would end up hitting somthing or someone. I have very long limbs.

14. What color are your nails?
My fingernails are unpainted; my toenails are dark red.

15. If you had to get a tattoo on your face to save your life, what would it be?
That's a good question. I don't know. A little daisy, maybe. I do love daisies.

16. Describe your bedroom.
My bedroom is very vintage-girly-preppy. The furniture is a warm wood 1930s Hollywood Regency set, and I've decorated the place in pink, green, and white, with Lilly Pulitizer bedding, spring green curtains, framed stills from my favorite old movies, monogrammed everything, and touches of African art.

17. What is something you find romantic?
The movie Labyrinth. No, I'm not kidding. I'm probably a little bit twisted, but that's okay with me.

18. On average, how many hours per day do you spend on your computer?
Quite a lot, between work and school and recreation.

19. Are you happy?
I'm very, very happy.

20. Is there anything in particular making you happy or sad?
Just everything, is all! I have a job I like, it's my favorite season, I'm loving Junior League, I have sleepy cats curled up next to me on the sofa.

21. Dogs or Cats?
BOTH. You cannot make me choose!

22. Which do you prefer:a museum, a night club, the forest or a library?
I like all of these at different times and moods. Libraries, though, are too quiet for my taste.

23. What is your style?
Much like my bedroom, it's vintage-girly-preppy. I like classic pieces, pink and green, monograms, and pearls.

24. If you could be doing anything you like right now, what would it be?
Going to Disney World.

25. Who is the closest person to you?
My sister, definitely. She knows me better than anyone else on the planet and loves me anyway. That's an important thing.

26. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
I don't know. Best as in, my favorite movie? Critical acclaim? I tend to hate most movies that get nominated for Best Picture because they tend to be depressing, dull, and about four hours long. I mean, I don't want movies to be completely mindless, but I spend most of my life buried in academia. If I go to a movie I want to be entertained, damn it, and I don't want it to be depressing.

27. Are you in a relationship or single?
Very happily single.

28. What makes you attracted to the person you like right now?
There isn't one of those at the moment.

29. If you could replace your partner/best friend with a celebrity of your choice, would you? Who with?
No, and that's a creepy question. If you would just swap the people closest to you for celebrities you don't deserve a partner OR a best friend.

30. What is something most people don't know about you?
Mountains freak me the hell out. I feel very, very claustraphobic. I didn't know this until a family trip to Colorado when I was fifteen; I never want to go back there, either.

31. Are you holding on to something you need to let go of?
Probably, but who cares? We all have baggage.

32. How did you celebrate last Halloween?
I watched scary movies with my mom and sister. This is more or less what I do every Halloween, but it's really fun. I don't need a whole lot to be happy.

33. Have you recently made any big decisions?
Not that I can recall. Things have been quiet and steady lately, but in a good way.

34. Name three things that you and the person asking you this question have in common.
This is a random tumblr survey, so this doesn't really apply.

35. Were you ever in a school play?
Yes, the year my entire elementary school did a production of the Wizard of Oz. I was in fifth grade and we were the foot soldiers. I've always hated that film and I hate it even more now.

36. What movie would you use to describe your life?
This is actually a good question, and something I would have to think about. But something ridiculously happy and bubbly. Legally Blonde, maybe?

37. Is there something you have dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?
There are lots of dreams I have. I've always wanted to go to Egypt, and actually thought about studying at the American University in Cairo at one point, but then the whole country more or less imploded and it's too dangerous now.

38. Complete this sentence, "I wish I had someone with whom I could share..."
I don't know. Between my family & friends I usually can share things with at least one person. There's my fondness for French cinema, but I actually like going to certain kinds of movies by myself, so it all works out.

39. If you could invent a new flavor of ice cream, what would it be?
If they made a Captain Crunch ice cream, that would be very excellent.

40. What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?
I don't approve of mocking humor of any kind. Jokes are fine if they're not mean-spirited, but so many problems in this world are because people mock what they dislike instead of accepting everyone's damn differences like an adult.

41. Who is a famous person you have been compared to?
Well, I collect Donald Duck everything and I was showing my sister a mug I bought a few weeks ago and she said "Donald is loud and has temper issues, no wonder you like him". Does that count?

42. What are two things that irritate you about the same sex?
43. What are two things that irritate you about the opposite sex?
Wait, what? As in 'men are stubborn, women are catty'? Sorry, no, I'm not participating in this kind of sexist bullshit. There are no personality traits that either sex just has, point-blank. The traits I dislike in others, such as arrogance or cruelty, are no more palatable in one sex than the other. This is ridiculous. It's 2014, for shit's sake, can we move on now?
